COVID-19

 It is always our number one priority to create a welcoming environment for both you and our team members. In order to ensure the health and wellness of everyone in the salon, several changes have been made at Masa.Kanai. Here is what to expect:

New Hours
Masa.Kanai will have new temporary business hours. We will be open every day (Monday – Sunday) from 10am to 7pm. Our team members will be working in rotation to accommodate for the workforce occupancy limitation. We will only be able to accomodate one guest per stylist at any given time.

Bring A Face Mask
A mask that wraps around the ear is highly recommended when coming in for an appointment. Anything that wraps around the head such as a scarf, bandana, or surgical mask with strings that tie behind the neck and scalp would make it difficult for us to beautify your hair. The mask must remain on throughout your visit.

Come Alone
Unless you require a companion for medical reasons, we will ask that no one other than the individual with an appointment enters the salon. Pets will also not be allowed.

COVID-19 Screening
Upon entering the salon, we will take your temperature and asked you the following questions. Anyone who reads as 100.4°F or more or fails the screening will be asked to leave the salon and reschedule for another time.

1. Do you have or have you had respiratory symptoms including fever and/or cough or any other flu symptoms within the last 14 days?

2. Have you been in close contact with someone with COVID-19 in the past 4 weeks?

3. Have you been outside of NY State within the last 2 weeks?


Arrive Early
Please arrive 15 minutes early to your appointment in order to allow time for the COVID-19 screening. Only one guest with an appointment will be allowed in the waiting area at a time. Other guests will be asked to wait outside until the stylist is ready.

Price Changes
All services will reflect a temporary price increase. Unfortunately, the added expenses of protective equipments and cleaning supplies have inflated the cost of business. In addition, social distancing practices, reduced stylist shifts, and extended appointment times have severely limited the amount of appointments we can honor. In order to supplement these cost burden, our service prices will temporarily increase. Please click here to view the new pricing.

Payments
Masa.Kanai will continue to accept cash and credit card payments. We kindly ask that any kind of gratituty to be made in cash or through Venmo only.

Cancellation Policy
Masa.Kanai has a strict 24 hours cancellation/rescheduling policy (48 hours in the case of any Nail service). Even now more so than ever, we will be buckling down on this policy in order to respect our stylists’ time and other clients. Please click here for more details.



 Our team is always giving our upmost effort to ensure Masa.Kanai is a clean and safe environment for you. Here is how we are doing our part:

COVID-19 Screenings
Our team members will also be screened every morning and we are committed to getting tested for the virus on a biweekly basis.

Physical Distancing
Our stylists will be stationed at every other chair in order to allow for proper distancing and to minimize client contact with other guests.

Cleaning and Disinfection
We are disinfecting all surfaces and high-volume areas with medical-grade products at the beginning of each day, between each appointment, and at the end of the day.

Hygiene
Hand sanitizer will be available at our front desk and placed through the salon for your convenience. Please feel free you use them as often as you like.
